VB2008, how to put a map...

Jun 4, 2009 at 2:45 PM

Hi once more,

I’m new in the programming world.

I’ve been trying to understand how to put a map in my visual basic 2008 application. However I do not understand how to do it.

Can someone give me a tip regarding that?

Thanks in advance.

dragg GMap.NET.WindowsForms.dll or GMap.NET.WindowsPresentation.dll to the toolbox, and then drag component to your form, set min/max/current zoom and location and run ;}

Hi...

This library you created is exactly what I was looking for... Awsome work.

Unfortunately I am a novice programmer with mostly VB skills. I tried dragging the GMap.NET.WindowsPresentation.dll to the toolbox for a brand new WPF application, but all that happened was a ding noise as if an error happend. Nothing happened visually. (The GMap.NET.WindowsForms.dll  did work for a winform application.)

Any ideas what to look for so I can try and use the WPF library?

hey,, mm.. you just need to add GMap.NET.WindowsPresentation.dll reference to your project and in xaml add gmapcontrol, look at wpf demo
