Hi Radioman,

I am trying to do the following bud does not achieve to make it work:

In fine, I need the BingHybrid tiles in a cache only.

What I do:

open DemoWindowsForm

delete cache v5  (directly on the cache folder, your "clear all" button says "access to refused")

select the relevant area (alt key)

use "prefetch" fuction

once finished, use "Export"

Now I close DemoWindowsForm and delete cache v5

Open DemoWindowsForm again

select "Cache Only"

use "Import" function to import the earlier file

.. I have an exception "No data in local tile cache..." in all zoom levels

Can you help?

just copy all data base file, import/export is slow

thanks, just tried and it does not work either...

I noticed that if I select cache only after prefetch, I cannot zoom in the prefetched areas. Is there perhaps a limitation with Bing?

I just tried again with your last built version and don't have any better result.

What I did:

delete cache v5  (directly on the cache folder)

open DemoWindowsForm

select the relevant area (alt key) i.e. whole world in zoom 1-4 (not too big to wait)

use "prefetch" function

once finished, exit

copy data.gmdb

delete cache v5 again

open DemoWindowsForm

select "Cache Only"

use "Import" function to import data.gmdb

... sorry to see it does not work

did you do exactly that and it works on your computer?

is there maybe a problem with my computer?

I tried again with an older version (10 may 2011) that uses v3 tiles and it works exactly as expected.

would there be a problem with v5 cache?

just don't use import

that's fine but the import function is very useful if you want to "add" two gmdb files in the cache.

do you plan to make it work again in a near future?

if not, can you give me some hints to work on it...

i've just tested import function, forks perfectly as usual, i don't know what are you doing there ;}

p.s. v5 isn't compatable with older databases, if you badly need use old database you need change old maptype numbers[MapType.cs] to new, based on provider.DbId

BingMap = 444,           -> 883999068
BingMap_New = 455,   -> 2144088369
BingSatellite = 555,     -> 783085212
BingHybrid = 666,       -> 1949545009

update tiles
set type = 1949545009
where type = 666
