Setting Gmap.NET to wrap-around at Zoom level 1

So if Google Maps is zoomed out far enough, set like so:

http://maps.google.com/?ll=8.05923,62.226563&spn=162.659168,86.132813&t=h&z=2

The world will tile on the horizontal axis (east/west). By default, Gmap.NET controls put "the edge of the world" at the international date line. Is there a setting that allows Gmap.NET controls to do this wraparound effect?

How complicated would implementing this be? Are there hooks even remotely in place? I might give it a crack.

Would a donation to this project be useful in speeding up this fix? My organization is interested in using this in a freely distributed commercial application.
