Zoom and Click Functionallty

Apr 20, 2009 at 2:23 PM

I have been playing with your control and i have to say it is very good.

The only thing i cant seem to find is a option to tell the mapcontrol what the Left mouse button can do. It would be nice if there was a option to change this functionality to be able to assign

Drag or click.

Also is there a option to Click and Zoom like mappoint does? this would be a really good option.

THanks in Advance

This is good news.

The click and Zoom work by the user clicking the mouse button and drawing a box the map will then zoom to the center of the box at a zoom level to fit all the map selected in.

Hi, very very nice product. Quick question, when you said "done" you mean you did the mouse switch function? if yes, how can we use it? :)

Apr 10, 2010 at 11:39 PM

you can switch mouse buttons by setting DraggButton property

Apr 11, 2010 at 12:02 AM

wow quick reply, even on a saturday night :)

thank you, I'll try to find the way :)

Thank it's working :)

I try to search about the "caching" and the "zooming" but didn't found anything.

is there a way for "caching" the tile when we zoom back? by example, if I'm at zoom 15, I got all the title loaded, if I zoom down to 16 it will load titles, but if I do a zoom back (at 15) it reload all the titles, is there a way for keep them into memory?

Apr 11, 2010 at 12:33 PM

there is 20MB limit for memory cache, what you see is in memory cache already and slowly going to hard disk too ;} If you reach the limit, oldest tiles are overridden

Apr 11, 2010 at 6:14 PM

hmm, okay. is there any way I can "prefill" the 20 mb, with cache, when I open the application?

Apr 11, 2010 at 6:25 PM

it fills as you scroll/zoom

Apr 11, 2010 at 6:27 PM

yup, but when we open the applicaiton for the first time, the user see a "blank" page for a few sec, so I was wondering if it exist a way for preload, at least, the current view?
