Server 2003 Permissions

May 13, 2009 at 10:51 AM

I have put my application on a Standard Windows 2003 Server installation with all the default security settings.

I have added   MAPS.GOOGLE.COM  to the trusted sites, and can see google maps from with IE.

However there GMAP control is not getting an maps. What other settings should i look to change or other URL's I should add to the Trusted Sites list ?

Thanks,

Paul.

Fixed it,     System.Data.SQLLiite.DLL   was not installed on the server, and as such no maps were being shown.   Strange, because i have the cache option set to  ServerAndCache

thanks,

"Gmap2 is undefined" and no google maps or alerts via Subgurim control for an asp.net application
(but it will apply to any kind of technology you're using)
Stepped into this matter a few days ago.
At first thought it was a matter of code, but web app worked fine on trhee different machines
(a windows 7 workstation in domain, a windows 7 workstation out of domain, a windows server 2003 sp2 in domain).
It turned out to be a matter of enanched security on a windows server 2003 R2 sp1.
Solution was:
Start Internet Explorer on windows server.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click Trusted Sites.
Click Sites.
In Add this Web site to the zone, type each of the following Web site addresses, and then click Add:

http://maps.gstatic.com
http://maps.google.com

Click Close, and then click OK.
