WMS Support?

Nov 12, 2009 at 9:00 AM

Hi Guys,

We have a local hosted ArcGis Server for our mapping needs.

How would I load the maps from this service as a custom service in GMap?

Is it also possible to load the maps from a WMS service?

all url are hardcoded, if you know them, your projection, map boundaries, you can try load them

Thanks for the reply.

Okay, so I opted to use the ArcGis REST Service instead. I changed the URL in GMaps.cs to point to my local hosted server. All our maps are in WGS84 so i figure projection might not be a problem as the component caters for that. I'm using the demo application to test the usage. The problem that I have is that the component does not connect to my ArcGis Server.  MY URL:{0}/{1}/{2}

I get the following error: OnEmptyTileError, Zoom: 12, {X=2366,Y=2348}

I have tested the REST service using the Java Script viewer on the server, so I know that the service works, it just does'nt want to load the data.

Am I missing any additional settings?

are you adjusted tile size, and what projection do you use?

Nov 25, 2009 at 12:54 PM

The tile size is set to the default (512x512). The projection is Geographic WGS84.

Where do I set the projection for the data source?

GMap.NET.Internals.Core.MapType setter

Great I found it.... Thx

I assume (from what I can see in the Projections)  that the Geographic WGS84 uses the same settings as LKS94Projection?

I added my service to the map type list and set the projection as below.... but now no map displays... (it shows the form but with nothing in the control).

                  case MapType.ArcGIS_MapsLT_Map_Hybrid:
                  case MapType.ArcGIS_MapsLT_Map_Labels:
                  case MapType.ArcGIS_MapsLT_Map:
                  case MapType.ArcGIS_MapsLT_OrtoFoto:
                   case MapType.MyService:
                     if(false == (Projection is LKS94Projection))
                        Projection = new LKS94Projection();

Update - all the other services works fine... just my one that does not load any tiles.

Nov 28, 2009 at 6:45 PM
